Computer forums
We've had requests recently to reorganise the computer forums. We had the Entertainment Computer forums near the top of our forum list, and the PC Gaming forum near the bottom.
Since we all have computers and use them for a variety of home entertainment functions from home cinema hubs, gaming PCs and media servers to multimedia download portals, it seems only appropriate to give computers the status they deserve.
So we have the new Computers category with several subcategories. I intend to regularly review these subcategories to ensure that, where there is need, we will provided dedicated forums for more specific topics, usually by splitting up existing forums. And were a forum is redundant, we will merge it with another related forum. Which is the way the forums have always evolved.
If you have any suggestions on how to improve the current arrangement, please reply below. Your input will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Computer forums
Thank you very much.
It looks far better and I can clearly see what goes where! the Computer Systems section is such a nice touch.

Re: Computer forums
Looks great IMO, take a bit getting used to, I'm used to have the computer section at the top.

Re: Computer forums
Probably the single most argued-about ingredient of the majority of HTPC boxes is the TV Tuner(s).
I don't see anywhere it looks logical to post questions and reviews about those.

All HDPC components. Graphics card, TV tuner card, cables, and if your thinking of outputting HD sound to an amp and speakers, well theres a few categories to get you going. Not to mention what kind of display!

Re: Computer forums
PC Memory and Motherboards/CPU are quite closely related, would it make sense to swap memory questions into the MB forum and move cases etc down with hard drives.

Re: Computer forums
Always seem to get requests on which anti-virus, spyware, firewall to use.
Maybe we could have a poll?
Or certainly post the link as a sticky; [ link deleted ]

Reason: We are hardly going to have a link to a rival forum as a sticky
