I've had no email notifications since Wednesday lunch

Since Wednesday lunchtime I haven't had any email notifications about replies to threads at all. I'm not sure if it's my NTL email playing up or not, but I have received other email OK to the same account. Anyone else ?

Yep, same here. Last e-mail I got was 10.15 yesterday and I've had plenty of replies to watched threads since then, but no e-mails.

I'm also not receiving emails!
Glad it's not just me, I was starting to doubt NTL too.

Hope it gets sorted soon, it's a right pain trying to keep an eye out for replies on every single thread.

I received about 200 emails this morning to catch up with the ones that I didn't get over the last few days, but haven't had any more since about 9.30 this morning

Update:-
My email notifications stopped coming through again yesterday. This morning I set up a new email account with 1&1 and changed my email settings for the forum and hey presto started getting notifications through for replies after I'd changed my settings. I still haven't received the backlog though, so that would indicate to me that the problem lies with NTL ..... I think !

Probably , I had a few yesterday , but nothing since . Have logged onto NTL webmail to see if they have implemented any sort of filtering .But can't find any .

I'm still not getting any emails to my NTL pop accounts. I am receiving emails fine from other organizations including avs forum, so why is this appear to be happening only with av forums?

I have set up my email details to a hotmail account as a temporary measure.

So you're getting emails from the AV Forums to your hotmail account but not NTL?
Complain to NTL, then, please.
They have obviously blacklisted us.
If they have and won't remove us, I'll have to blacklist them, too.

Yes I'm getting forum emails to my hotmail account.
I'll call NTL tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I've just received a big batch of emails to my NTL account, they must be the ones from a few days ago as I've changed to a different email address for notifications.

I received a big batch of emails this morning also.

I've been unable to try and see if email works with my NTL account again because NTL accounts have now been barred!

I appear to also having the same problem with the TheaterTek Forum, which I suspect uses very similar software to Av Forums.

In the mean time I have tonight spoke with a lady at NTL who is passing the info on for investigation.

One of your members raised this issue through an ntlworld technical support forum (not a "hell site") where I am an Admin. As a result it has been investigated at ntl:

The situation appears to be that AVForums is virtually hosted by another ISP GlobalGold.co.uk

The mail originating from the forum comes from IP Address 216.234.251.134,

It appears that this mail provider has been used for spamming and as a result been blocked by third party block lists Spamhaus, DSBL and Spamcop. All of these have now revoked the listing, however it is still listed by the widely used NJABL blocklist (used by AOL, Yahoo and Hotmail).

See http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ip4r.c...16.234.251.134

This could be the cause. As ntl:'s Anti Abuse messaging platform (like many major ISPs) uses such lists, your mail provider could have seen blocked mail during that period.

As a result it could have stored up these mails for retransmission, and these have now cleared.

It may be worth making the Forum's mail provider aware of the inconvenience you have experienced as a result of them being blocked as a source of spam?
