I hope they decide who it is quickly so we can then start rebuilding the team.
Funny how 90% couldn't wait to see the back of him.

Always be careful what you wish for. No way will Rafa come back.

I was one of those that wanted him out, but after reading about the internal problems I feel he was treated harshly.

I personally think AvB will get it as they wanted him before he went to Chelsea, if he doesn't then they will give Rafa a 1-2 year contract.

Rafa won't be back mate, move on. Also do you honestly think he'd want to be 2nd 3rd choice?

Steve Keen may need a job soon

Its not what he has done to them its what others have said to FSG between the old owners leaving and the new owners coming in the club was run like a sweet shop mate.
First team squad members were given new contracts before FSG took over lucrative ones.
A guy called Cristian Purslow was put in charge he liked playing football manager and decided to buy a load of players Joe Cole etc etc put Roy in charge on the say so of a few first team memebers.
Now Purlsow we dont like him he is a snake which also Rafa said he was a snake. Purlsow was advising FSG for a while and (he isnt now FSG got wind of his dodgy tactics) told FSG that Rafa thought he was bigger than the club
See what happens when players get old and need replacing they dont like it look at Lampard and JT at Chelsea AVB didnt last long when they were dropped

Everybody thinks Xabi Alonso is a saint but was whoring himself out to Arsenal a year before for 8mil

All im my opinion as well

Apparently he was slating Kenny at the meeting saying he felt like a spare part under Kenny so i'd be suprised if he left out of respect for Kenny.

Gutted Kenny was sacked, really thought he's get another year but I guess it was inevitable. Just hope they get someone with real pedigree otherwise they might aswell have kept Kenny..

I wasn't putting Clarke down I was saying I was suprised when someone claimed earlier he had left out of respect for Kenny.

That came from Tony Barret of the times and the guy has his finger on the pulse when it comes to all things LFC

Heard him on Talksport, he has no idea who would want to come to a mid table team in crisis. His words not mine.

Oh and defiantly doesn't want AVB

fair enough, i just thought you may know something other than what we all already knew.

i'd get behind pretty much any manager we get but if we dont get someone whos proven at the top, winnings things, then i think it'll be a mistake.

rafa is the very least we should be aiming for and hes the easiest safe option out there right now. rafa came in and had clear ideas for us (even moreso now) and he almost got us there. he came in and identified we needed a proper top class number 9 and he went out and bought him for a start. a manager like martinez has been looking at players several rungs below and if he came in whos to say he wont continue to see these players as good players (i believe one of hodgsons failings) and commit to signing players that just arent good enough. its what happens to managers out of their depth.

FSG: We need direction

We find ourselves once again experiencing another summer where talk centres around off the pitch decisions instead of footballing matters. The position of manager at Liverpool Football Club is one that deserves huge respect. It deserves all the resources of Liverpool Football Club to be put at the manager's disposal to make the Club as successful as possible. Today, we are once again in a position where this is not happening. At this moment in time, we have no Manager, no Director of Communications, no Director of Football, no Commercial Director and no ownership presence this side of the Atlantic, a situation compounded by the continued failure to appoint a Chief Executive.

There are also ongoing questions around the lack of a stadium solution. Recent decisions at Liverpool Football Club have led to more questions than they have answered. Today's decision does exactly the same. Many supporters will be asking just what exactly is LFC's strategy for the future. We would expect those in charge at LFC to address this situation urgently in a manner befitting of the Club's history and tradition to allow Liverpool Football Club to move forward. We would also expect those charged with moving the Club forward to engage in meaningful dialogue with supporters, something promised to us in those early meetings with Mr Henry and Mr Werner, but which is yet to materialise.

it does seem a bit overkill, ian ayres brought in our biggest sponsorship deals we've ever had hasnt he? but theyve done this before in boston and it worked, so i can see them having a preference to things that have worked before

Made quite a bit of money by all accounts now I know why !! I remember him getting married at Anfield and heard about him setting up an LFC website hence the money but no idea of the way he obtained it.
Funny as Scarborough is a small town where everyone knows everyone's business.

Anyway on topic, I'm gutted for KK as I truly believe he thought he could turn it around but unfortunatly football has changed and I think it showed.
Also think FSG should have told him to resign rather than sack him
Steven Gerrard is 40/1 to become the next manager....deary me !
My money is on AVB or Rafa but if they chose to go with the unknown why not let Sami have a go with Carra as no2 ? Can't be any worse than some of the names banded about

Sorry to burst all the Liverpool supporters bubble but, AVB is hardly going to guarantee success. He displayed a complete lack of common sense whilst managing us, seemed incapable of selecting the best 11 and could never play to the teams strengths.

All this ******** about how JT, FL and co forced him out is complete rubbish. They worked with the guy on a daily basis and could see better than anyone how AVB's "one tactic suits all opponents" was jeopardising any progress. Naturally, discontent did occur as a result but I feel AVB's lack of respect to the owner and Torres sealed his doom,at times towards the end of his reign, it almost seemed like he was trying to talk himself out of the job.

AVB will want to tear the Liverpool squad apart and replace them with top players, Liverpool do not have the kind of money available to rebuild the squad on that scale so any move from AVB's point of view would be pointless.

Why is Lambert on such long odds compared to Rodgers? Seems odd to me, especially when you compare records, Lambert's looks slightly better, plus what he has achieved for us at Norwich over the last 3 years is phenomenal.

I know my view is skewed as a Norwich fan, but don't see why Rodgers is more likely than Lambert when both seem very capable and have achieved great things on tight budgets.
