I see a bit of a cup shock today in ramsden's first round, second division team beaten by lower league team

Seems also to be a bit of complaining being done over the BBC's commentary

Also what about his comments about being debt free and in a better financial health than all the other teams on Scotland. No wonder folk despise them when they just dropped all their debt shafting many small companies in the process and then boasting about being debt free.

So is the bold Charles writing off his £5.5m initial investment already?

That's awfully nice of him

Anyway we Celtic fans should'nt really be talking about finances seeing as Celtic have a more complicated financial history than Sevco according to the bold Charlie

Celtics is really complicated as it covers not only income and also payng bills to those we owe. Newco just has income it appears

I noticed it was mentioned that anyone can look at anyones accounts, wonder where you'd find the 6 weeks of accounts for newco?

Season kicks off today. Looking forward to getting back to see some games, looks like sky and ESPN will be showing quite a lot of games this season

Anything but pretty but hey, job done! Best putting Wanyama in midfield and keeping Rogne and Mulgrew at CH, look much more assued when he's in the middle.
Fair play to Aberdeen, made a few good signings and made it very difficult for us to break them down.

As for the match being on Sky, wow, you mean that they didn't pull the plug???!

Honestly, watching the Newco v Peterhead is nothing short of amatuer status. I swear my local Junior team plays better football!
And to think at least 4 of those players are on £6k a week

P.s Why the 5 stars above the crest? Is that amount of weeks in existence???!

Perhaps the Scottish game is stronger than most thought! Newco held in their first game against the giants of Peterhead

Given that 99% of Peterhead supporters are also Rangers supporters, the result suits everyone fine.
They must have been cheering every goal, or just sitting there confused.

Except that their record now has dropped from 100% win ratio to 50% of games played have been won

mccoists is to lodge a complaint on today's game over the loss of two points stating "they've been punished enough"

I think its really pathetic that a newly formed club, who play in Division 3 gets more publicity in the Scottish press than some of the SPL clubs.

It's the sheer farce of if all, it would happen anywhere.
A team staying in the Malmaison @ god knows what cost, employing single players earning more than the entire Peterhead squad.
And this is ignoring all the shennanigans about how they got there.

Oh, and you should change "Scottish Press" to "Glasgow Press".
There are plenty of regional papers don't give Rangers much coverage.;-)

Ach well, Oldco/Newco - the deceit continues to amaze

Greens own words -

"As of now, Rangers do not owe other Scottish clubs a penny."
Then again, he did not say that we owe them many many many pennies so technically he was right

Aye newco get off scot (debt) free yet can get new players in and pay them 5k pw in the third division. The deceit continues. They want none of the negatives of the oldco as a bad man did it and ran away but want to keep all the positives. The new guy at the helm must have taken lessons from the other mob as apparently everyone is against them. Breaking news; they are and quite rightfully so. Pay your debts then start flashing the cash. Haven't they learnt anything?

You all know the story of the Pied Piper? This is the exact same. Charlie Emerald was not wanted by the newco fans. They tried all sorts of 'false' claims ie not buying season tickets, boycotts etc.
What he has done is play the tune they want to hear, believing his stories and rallying behind him. His 'bigotry' statement was a prime example of playing the tune. I understand on Sat he is going to sit with the 'Blue Order' 'cos he's one of the bears

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it"

Nearly a banana skin there! Credit to RC for pushing us to the end, you knew they would be right up for this. Obviously we have one eye on midweek but it's pretty clear that at least 2 new faces are required to bring the squad up to date.
No doubt will get the usual over reaction on the phone ins tonight but i'd take the point all day long, it's not like we we're going to win every game this season!

Hopefully get a few back for midweek and progress to the land of milk and honey

Rangers attendance higher for a Division 3 game than Celtic's for unfurling the tainted title flag. Those school uniforms aren't cheap from ASDA though. All SPL + SFL games attendance didn't even surpass the crowd at Ibrox.

When is sell out Saturday again?

Imagine the absolute doings you will take if you reach the group stages when Ross County should have beaten you. Still need to beat the Swedes though and with those dumplings at the back that's no foregone conclusion.
