Arsenal got a great opprtunity to be within a single point from spurs. Hope they can do it! Got to keep the pressure on spurs and secure top 4!

The best way to secure top 4 is not to try and aim to finish above chelsea, but to try and finish above spurs. the higher you aim the better your chances are!

About Spurs, dont u think that FA are to blame for spurs recent downfall? They have literally tapped up Harry for the england job!

You can't be serious. They have lost their last three premier league games but the only match they played poorly for extensive periods was the Arsenal game, every other game their performance levels have been more than acceptable. I don’t see how this has anything to do with Harry and the England job.

If you don't score you don't win football matches and in the last two EPL games when Spurs were on top they didn't score. Simples.

Did somebody say in old thread that Liverpool should go for AVB?!
You have to be kidding me! Did a great job at Chelsea didnt he. Same applies to Benitez. Thanks but no thanks. Couple of players and Pool will have a much better season next year.

Agree with this. Dalglish has been given a 3 year deal and he should be allowed to honour that contract. I, and most other Pool fans, do not want to become like Chelsea chopping and changing managers every season if they under perform.

its only 2 isnt it? but i dont think fsg will give him the chance if things dont improve dramatically, hes in real danger of going before the end of the season imo and although kenny is a legend im starting to believe he isnt the right man for the job. he was the right man to come in and steady the ship but it doesnt seem hes the right man to take us to the next step.

So if they buy some better players, they won't improve? Is what I said wrong or something?

All of a sudden, Spurs are unlucky at not winning some of their games lately. Liverpool were like that earlier in the season and should be in a better position. They aren't though and it is what it is. If a goalscorer is bought and a bit more creativity, surely they should turn those missed points around?

kenny should have spotted this in january though as it was clear some players werent good enough but he decided to stick with his failings and it looks like its gonna cost him his job.

Think it's a three year deal, will be 2 left end of the season. A league position of 6th or lower and he'll be in trouble but I think the FA Cup will play a big role for him, depending on how far Liverpool get. Regardless, I think he should and will be given further time than just this season.

hes making our team worse though with his signings. rafa bought lucas, masch and alonso, kennys bought adam and henderson. rafa bought torres, kenny bought carroll.

this isnt a rafa love in, im just pointing out what can be achieved in the transfer market and what kenny has achieved.

Didn't you just win one of the only three domestic trophies available this season? Surely he is worth the close season and the first 10 games next season!?

I'm sure he has plans, and Champions League football is out of reach anyhow.

That used to be something fans beat Rafa up on. Look how he's turned out. I'm sure Henderson will be a good signing, Adam's a squad player.

Rafa bought Keane, Kenny bought Suarez.
Rafa bought Dossena, Kenny bought Enrique.
Rafa let go of Bellamy, Kenny resigned him.

All managers buy players that under perform. This is Kenny's first full season in charge and he's ended our 6-year trophy drought, he deserves more time. Also he will know that most of his signings are currently playing below-par, he'll either play them to regain form or bench/sell but the transfer window is not open yet.

In his defence, Lucas who was great for us for the last 18 months is out (he should've bought a replacement DM in Jan IMO) and Steven Gerrard has been constantly injured. I think Adam was bought as a sub to Gerrard but with his constant injuries Adam has had to play most games.

Kenny has not done as well as expected but he's not done atrociously bad. We won't finish top four but we may go to Wembley again before the season is over, and we're in a European competition next season (albeit the lesser comp but it's a trophy nonetheless).

Savic is a poor defender. City really need to improve their reserve centre backs in the summer.

Totally deserved our victory today. City's lax attitude contrasts sharply to United's attitude earlier in the season.
Well done City! Swansea that is.

Your team shouldnt even be playing in the "English" premier league! Your teams from Wales not England

Quietly hoped Swansea would play to their potential. Been a great credit to the division.

Hughes managing in the Championship who would have thought it. Long way to go but it's going to be tough recovering from the missed goal. I don't think you can blame the officials however. It's so fast, the ref is not placed to judge and the linesman has bodies between him and the ball. Shame on the FA for allowing this to continue to be an issue.

@OptaJoe: 5 - If the Premier League had started on January 1, the bottom three would be QPR, Liverpool and Wolves, all with five points. Toil.
