Thanks: Gave 17, Got 8 | Pana 42" G10 Wall Bracket
Hi all,
We've been looking for a bracket for the Pana we've buying in the next couple of weeks, however, it's not going to be mounted flat to a wall.
We need to be able to pull it away from to wall to about 650mm ideally so it can sneak around the fireplace. To be more specific, the shallow edge needs to be about 650mm when it's pulled out and turned up to about 45 degrees (if that makes sense)
We've found this mount, but wondered if it was suitable? Also, it only comes out 576mm and when the turn is in place, most of the TV will still be hidden.
However, what we do like about that bracket, is there's something about the double arm action I prefer over the single arm designs (just personal preference).
So, can anyone help with any alternatives that come out perhaps a little further? Some sort of cable management would also be beneficial.
Thanks in advance and all suggestions welcome!

Just to add, the bracket is going to be attached through dabbed plasterboard into thermalites.
On looking into this, these seem to be the best bet?
Anyone any suggestions on brackets? I might try and draw an image in paint later so people can see the layout.
But in the meantime, open to suggestions.
Thanks |

Has anyone used Promount? This seems like quite a nice mount, but it's single arm and I prefer double arm.
Do I need to worry about single arm, or am I being paranoid?
My additional query is that single arm may twist and flex more than a double arm, or again, is this not the case and just my paranoia?
Thanks.

Hi
Is your TV going to be pulled out into the viewing position all the time? If so you could use our corner bracket which can be mounted so it always clears the chimney breast; M-Form - 32" to 52" Corner Bracket
we also do this bracket with shelves for your DVD or SKY box etc... M-Form - 32" to 52" Corner Bracket With 2 Shelves
The corner bracket is dedicated to corner or angled mounting, with two independent arms being flexible but very sturdy.
Best Regards
Graham

To help explain my situation, I've drawn an image in paint of my room. I'd just like to clarify, it's not to scale and not a professional drawing
So, this is the room;
As you can see, if the TV was back nearer the wall, anyone sat on the sofa along the side of the wall won't be able to see the screen. When pulling the TV out to 650mm that most brackets are, once the TV has been turned enough to have the angle for those on the back wall, most of the TV will once again disappear behind the fire.
Does the image and description help explain the situation?
Thanks.

Hi all,
Has my image helped, or made things more complicated?
I'm looking to purchase something within the next few days, as need it for next weekend.
So open to help and suggestions.
Thanks.

Mmmm, I think you may struggle to get something which will give you this extension. We certainly haven't got anything.
Let us know how you get on.

I can't think of any alternative solutions...?
I'm hoping someone will pop up with a suitable bracket, or alternative layout.
The only other thing I can really think of is to put the TV on a stand with wheels, but I don't really want that...? |

Just about to order this, then I read this.
I need a suitable bracket by the end of the week and that one looked ideal as it extended 830 and was twin arms.
Anyone know of anything similar, but from a reputable dealer? |

Anyone ever heard of or ordered from 'cribideas.com'?
In particular, this mount made by B-Tech?
B-Tech seem like quite a big, reputable AV company?

Just stumbled across this one.
Although expensive, looks good. Anyone here used an Omnimount?
Thanks.

Hi
Btech - Good products but I personally wouldn't go for a single arm cantilever for a 42" TV, you'd probably find that you got some degree of sag to one side or another when pulled out and swivelled.
Omnimount - This looks like just what you need and Omnimount make good products. VERY expensive though, see if you can find this one at a better price.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Graham
