Help - Join with friends to go online 10 vs 10?

Sorry, this should have gone in the PS3 forum (ref to Home) but question still stands on the game functionality

Hi.

Arranged to have some friends meet up last night online to try and get a game of us vs some randoms in either a 5 vs 5 or 10 vs 10 online game.

Turned into a very frustrating evening with 6 of us sitting around for 10/20 minutes at a time. Only managed to get 3 full games in 3 hours (5 mins per half)!

Couple of points / questions:
1) I thought we'd be able to meet in a lobby then all jump into a game together with random punters - is this not possible?

2) Couldn't get our heads around 1) so decided to set up a game room, invite all friends then start a game. This worked but we couldn't get any random people in to make up the numbers. Just ended up with 6 of us split over 2 teams. This isn't the only way is it?

3) Once we'd finished our games, we couldn't get back into the room we'd created so each time we wanted another game, we had to start all over again. Why does it do this?

Seems like EA have gone out of their way to make this as complicated as possible when it should be simple.

Does anyone know a way around this?
Does Home have any launch functionality that will make it easier?

Really hope there is an easy way around this because it's going to ruin the online element of the game for me.

Thanks in advance.
Chris.
