I've noticed in the gaming forums (not sure if it affects others) that the thread title doesn't appear in the subject line of replies within threads. It's not a major hassle, but I usually tend to open 15-20 tabs at once and then read through them, so it used to be handy to be able to see at a glance which thread I'm currently reading/replying to.

Is this a new alteration or is it an unintentional change? As I said, not too big a deal, just wanting to know if it's intentional or accidental.

I asked this on the PS3 forums and the mods suggested I post it here.

Why is it ok to have Avatars which are 18kb in size and 230 X 155 pixels if you have a PSN logo, but only a measly 2kb and 50 X 50 pixels if you don't? Most forum members would love to have their own custom avatars that size too... I can't see why we aren't allowed to? It says the following in the control panel: "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 50 by 50 pixels or 2.0 KB (whichever is smaller)."

I think this old limit needs to be increased drastically in the control panel for everyone... Thanks!

In this case £1200. Tell me if i'm wrong but are "offers around" NOT ALLOWED in the classified forums???
I thought we had to name a price full stop! Yet a mod gives a "thanks" to someone for as far as i can see breaking the rules!!!

And you wonder why I get mad and banned from the forums when I see this kind of thing going on:mad:

After starting a new thread I realised that I had missed a salient point in the title. So i went to edit/advanced and changed the title. Fine if i open the thread I see the new title, but in the general forum listing the old unedited title appears so the point of my thread is not apparent to people browsing the forum.
How do I change the Forum listing title?

Just a clarification required.

A member was banned for good due to putting a comment on a post with regard to 'meeting up with another member some day next week'.

Now having received a PM regarding the comment and notice of infraction and ban, the Mod who sent the PM then directed exactly the same comment at the member through the PM.

The clarification I would like to know is...

Obviously the comment in the post was meant as a joke but taken the wrong way and therefore according to the powers that be required a ban.
Does the PM from the mod/admin, which when read had the same comment directed at the member and not meant in a jokey way at all, not also require an infraction or a ban??

Or are comments on the board, and PM messages not covered by the same rules?

Having been a regular member of this board for sometime, I would like to see a copy of the rule that states, some members can get away with comments like that and others get away scott free.

I await your reply (on the board, not Via PM)
:lesson:

I`ve just joined having been shown the site by a friend. It looks good, but I find the way the first few lines of text of a thread are highlighted a little annoying.

So, at the risk of being shot(!) - "You`ve only just joined, how DARE you suggest change so soon!", I`d like to suggest the following...

The first few lines of text of a thread are only highlighted when hovering over the thread title itself, and not the whole thread title field. This would stop the annoying (to me anyway!) pop ups all the time! And the text is highlighted ABOVE the thread title, so as to not block the view of thread titles below, as most people read from top to bottom.

There, that`s it. Go on, shoot me. You know you want to.
