its the correct id im entering as i can log on no probs on my pc and I can log on anywhere else on my phone but not my bank

I know nothing about the mobile market as I have always had work phones. My missus wants a new Orange PAYG phone for Xmas. She is not into lots of media such as music, video or mail, and only does about 20 calls and perhaps 30 texts per week. Doesn't want touch screen, just simple key pad, but does want a decent camera.

I don't see the point in spending too much on this as there is no need to pay for any 'bells and whistles', I have looked on web and found Nokia 3600 (3.2 MP camera) and 6303.

1. Do you think these two will be good for her needs?
2. any point in spending the extra on the 6303?

It worked fine until this morning when i switched my phone to discover i got a text message

It was from "email" and started with wma:40 and a load of letters both uppercase and lowercase with / as well

Every time i switch my phone on i get this and ive saved 1 of the text messages while the other seemed to have deleted itself :confused:

Any ideas before i take my phone back to 3?????

I pay £30 a month and that gets me 400 mins & 1000 texts per month. I dont think any data or internet is included within that.

I'm sure for the same cost i can get a better allowance than what i'm currently getting at the moment, and i dont really want to spend more than £30 a month.

I'd prefer to stick with Nokia phones, and have had a 6600 Slide as a warranty replacement for the past 8 months or so, and i hate it.

As my next phone, the N86 appeals to me. Would i be able to better my contract with O2 or should i switch companies altogether ?

Inclusive internet and email would be useful.

Cant believe I ended up in this mess with my phone but here goes

Original Nokia N95 (not 8gb), locked to Orange.
Foolishly debranded it a few months ago, and during that changed product code. Now I need it unlocking to use Virgin Liberty Sim.
Turbosim wont work on it at all, and the unlocking shop in town cant get it to unlock either. Its on firmware 31.0.0.17 which I think is the problem.
Now its well out of warranty but i cant afford to brick it with a 'cowboy' attempt.
So my first question, if I go to orange, who i am still with, and pay for the unlock code, will it work, bearing in mind the product code is different due to the debranding?

I got my phone on an Orange contract and was lucky enough to be able to cancel the contract due to changes in T&C. I unlocked the phone from Orange and now use my Vodafone SIM with it.

So I can't return it to Orange. I'm due to start a 1GB Internet Max Add-on on November 21st, but until then I'm trying to work out how to connect to my home broadband connection.

I've set up my wireless using the following steps;
Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > Show WLAN availability.
This setting is set to Yes.

I then set up the WLAN Wizard; Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wiz.

It has no problem finding my "WANADOO-86D8" broadband connection and I entered the correct WEP.
However, when I "start web browsing" and open something such as Facebook or Twitter, it does not load and instead says "Unable to connect. WLAN network not found". I have tried this in both Offline mode and normal mode.
My internet works fine on my laptop and home pc, with an excellent connection of 54.0 Mbps.

Please help?

I've just bought a brand new Nokia 5530 today. Unfortunately 7 hours later i still can't use it as I've spent all afternoon trying to export / back-up my Sony Ericsson, and import the contacts over to the Nokia 5530.

All i've managed to do so far is sync my Sony with Windows Vista Contacts. The Nokia Ovi Suite software is terrible, and i can't find a way of syncronising the phone with Windows Contacts.

I've therefore tried to get my contact details into MS Outlook 2007. The Sony Suite doesn't appear to support exporting contacts into that, so i've tried getting my Windows Contacts into MS Outlook, but i can't find a way to do that either.

Is there any way i can get my contacts over. I'm getting pretty desperate now, and don't want to have to enter them all manually.

Also, is the Nokia Ovi Suite the only application i can use with my 5530, as so far it seems to be an awful piece of software.
