I'm sure it used to be louder when she had it:confused: Annoying for me as I work in a noisy workshop so no chance of hearing my mobile ring.

Anyway, is it usual that none of the ringtones(including my own MP3s) are not very loud? Wondering if mine could have some sort of fault or bug in the firmware.

I hid it because I don't need 4 different places to read my messages (2 email accounts and SMS/MMS), is there any way I can merge my PIN messages into my regular SMS inbox as the messages folder is just an annoyance?

Recently, well a few Months ago, I bought one of those iPhones, but often I'll leave it on charge for most of a day or a full day before using it again. I have had some improvements in battery life since then, but nothing incredible. So I thought I might grab something else, also for when I travel so I don't have to worry as much.

I haven't had any luck finding one, though. The Carphone Warehouse website doesn't really give me many results and 02 aren't selling it anymore. I did find it online for over £200, but I wanted to check other options first. Amazon had the option to buy, but it's from someone on their marketplace I think, so I don't feel comfortable buying from there.

Am I going to have a hard time finding one? Or is there a good chance they might have one instore at my local Carphone Warehouse, even though their website has very little?

Secondly, if I can't get one is the Pearl 8120 any good? I was thinking of going for one of these with the full keyboard, but I thought for now maybe something else and possibly upgrade in the future.

The other thing I wanted to ask is - I'm on contract with the iPhone. I don't really know how it works. Lets say I did get one of these. Could I switch my SIM over, and it work right away? If not then I guess it would be pointless. I had heard of problems with internet connections, and having to have add-ons, which is why I wondered. I'd hate to switch certain things around and find I can't use the iPhone anymore, and end up finding I have to switch back.

Oh, and one last thing. Are these two other phones any good? However, whenever I goto BlackBerry Internet Service it still doesn't allow me to create a new bis account using the phones pin/iemi.

It does however tell me that 'this blackberry device is not registered with your wireless service provider'- does this mean its de-registered?? Wife wants a BB 8520...Now I may have the opportunity to pick one up for her...but my questions are these;

Assuming the bb is unlocked (Voda),

She is on o2 payg - can her sim drop into the BB and work straight away?

If she can't would she have to buy a new o2 sim?

Or would she have to use a new provider in order to get full service out of the BB.

So, assuming I can get summat sorted, what else would need to be done with the device?

I know BT do a web based email and mobile based email but I would like to use the blackberry "push" feature (which I think is only available as PAYG on the Orange network) to get notification of new emails and also reply to them etc. Can this phone be setup to send / receive emails using bt/yahoo?

2) Blackberry pushing emails
I like the idea of the Blackberry as it has a "push" feature and I did have a conversation with the orange rep that its a good feature of blackberry as other different types of phones on PAYG need to be configured such that they regulaly "check for new email" which involves me making an outgoing data connection (and costs about 50p day).

3) WiFi at home
I know this phone does WiFi but how transparent is the use of it when I am at home? Does sending and receiving emails all happen via the WiFi connection (and thus is free?)

4) Any other phones / networks
Are there any other phones and networks i should be considering? I dont really want to spend more than £200 and it does need to be PAYG as email will be used more than phone/text messaging.

Can anyone here confirm if this is possible on this phone?
