Now I realise that Outlook Express is no more and the alternative offered is Live Mail.

Any opinions on what Live Mail is like?
Will it work with multiple eMails accounts?
I assume it doesn't have a news group handler?
How well does the migration work?
Is it better than full Outlook?

Cheers,
My intention is to get rid of the evaluation version of win 7 before I do a clean install on the new (faster) hdd. Disk manager will not allow me to format the D drive, stating that it can't format an active drive. Any ideas?

Hi all

I went to add some cd’s to my computer today and opened the ripping window and went to change the location the files are stored in and found firstly I couldn’t change that, then when I went to rip a cd I get the following message.

Windows Media Player cannot rip one or more tracks from the CD

I did look online and it seems you needed to remove and re-install media player, so did that but when started it still does the same thing, and won’t rip a cd.

Any info on things that may help would be much appreciated, if it matters I was ripping to wav file.

Many thanks

Just installed W7 on my desktop PC. All fine except when I shut it down the power stays on, i.e. the fans continue to operate, along with who knows what else.

Not too sure what other info to provide here. Anything required, let me know.

Cheers.

i just installed windows 7 on my D400 laptop and its running fine, all the drivers installed fine apart from the display drivers.

i downloaded and installed the latest intel 855GM drivers and it said installed correctly ect and asks to reboot. on reboot it lets me change resolution and the colour is 32 bit unlike forced 640x480 16 bit before. if i go to device manager is says everything is working as it should.

however, when i reboot it goes back to 640x480 16 bit and then says there was a problem installing the drivers even though they were working fine for hours.

the only way to get 1024x768 back is to reinstall the drivers but as soon as i have rebooted twice its back to 640x480.

anyone know what i need to do? if there were no working drivers i could accept that but the fact it works flawlessly until you reboot a couple of times is really annoying.

Have recently installed Windows 7 on my Windows Vista laptop and have been installing software/drivers frantically. This problem probably doesn't relate to the fact, but anyway....

Just ran a virus scan with AVG. It removed a file and put it in its 'vault':

File: C:\Program Files\Vuze\uninstall.exe
Infection: Trojan horse PSW.Banker5.AIQK
Result: Moved to virus vault

I now get the following message appear on startup:

"There was a problem starting c:\windows\system32\sshnas.dll

Invalid access to memory location."

It doesn't seem to affect anything but is very irritating.

I've reinstalled Vuze to no avail.

Any idea how I can get rid?

Thanks!
