I guess the cost comes into this most. for £400 I could get a super-monitor, but at the same time I want to game and watch blu-ray on it for which the TV is optimised; not to mention built in free-view etc.

I suppose I'm looking for advice. Which path should I go down. I want to use my XBOX but don't know how to even connect it to a PC monitor, I want to watch movies and TV but I'm also a PC gamer.

We have 3 Sony V4000 series screens at our office and I would like to enable users to connect to the screens wirelessly.

I know Samsung or LG have built Wi-Fi into their screens, but I dont have the option to buy 3 new screens!!!

The majority of laptops are Sony, but we have some HP, so the kit needs to run on a wireless protocol as apposed to manufacturer specific.

Any help would be appreciated.

The colours are totally different between the two screens and it's really really annoying me, could this be due to the age of the backlight? I've gone through all the settings I can think of, the white isn't white, its more a dirty yellowish tint, and the other colours are just all off.

I'll have around £500-£700 to spend, I'm interested in what are the best options out there. I will be using the PS3 to watch blueray movies.

I Found a 22" monitor (DELL) 2209wa 1650 by 1050 IPS monitor for sub £200
and
iiyama ProLite E2607WS-1 26" or 24"


Now my question:
Is there a IPS monitor for the +-£200 with a res of 1080p+ with no horrible issues, such as green tint or heavy black light bleed.

The only thing that put me off the dell was the Res.

I have done a search and found that you can ask your graphics card to "clone" the image onto the other monitor, but then the image on my tv is tiny and stretched to hell and the one on my monitor is fine.

Does anybody know of a way I can get that pop-up to come back asking how I want my monitors setup?

Now monitor's name and supported modes aren't detected automatically, perhaps the cable doesn't carry DDC information from the monitor to the videocard. I found out that cable's pins 4,5 and 9 are disconnected. Is that defect or it is manufactured that way?
I bought second cable - 6 m Roline. Now pins 9 and 15 are disconnected.
I guess they have removed DDC info pins to prevent conflicts in some VGA spitters/extenders.
When I use simple 1,5 m. VGA cable (that came from a normal PC monitor) with all pins connected, the name and supported modes are correctly identified.
The general problem is that each time when I have to change resolution I have to refer to my LCD TV's user manual to view supported resolutions and refresh rates. Otherwise it displays "Mode not supported"
