Can I use Hybrid SLI?

Is it a waste of time and should I just stick with the PS3?
It'll be mainly driving games, as currently, I'm not much of a gamer...
I need to do some maintenance in Pure DOS, however my Regza HDTV which I use as a monitor will not support the resolution via VGA so I thought I could possibly use the TV output to view the low resolution instead, however it would obviously be to the same display.

Does anybody know whether or not this would work? I have connected the SVideo output to the composite video port on the TV but it isn't outputting any video display at all at the moment. The PC is currently running Windows 7 and no video is displayed via SVideo either in the OS when set to 800x600 and low colours or on POST/Bios.

I also have a DVI to HDMI cable for it as well but that will not output any display at all unfortunately and I gave up trying to use that a while ago.

All I'm looking for is a card capable of outputing HDMI with audio (I presume). I currently have an X1950 pro running at 1680x1050, so any suggestions that are at least as powerful as that and capable of HDMI + audio would be great. Also any other help/tips on setting this up would be great.

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm looking for a dual DVB-S2 tuner with a PCIe x1 (half-height), USB or Firewire interface - access to a CI would be nice it's not a necessity.

Having done a lot of searching I think the only option at the moment is the Blackgold BGT3595. With the demise of FloppyDTV there only seems to be single tuner PCIe cards or external tuners which don't support DVB-S2!

Does anyone have any suggestions for tuners or is the Blackgold really the only known option? I know Blackgold had lots of driver problems with a previous card and the BGT3595 is already running late (I was told they were going to be out in October) so I'm cautions about getting a BGT3595.

Thanks,

Phil

Hi, hopefully i post this now to the right place.

I have the GV-N26SO-896I video card (gigabyte super overclock) in a brand new desktop (core i7 system). Win 7 and latest drivers (nvidia 191.07).
I have a toshiba regza 1080p TV and try to link it through the HDMI port, but no succes. no picture signal at all.

The nvidia control panel funnily detects TV properly (as 1080p, 50HZ native), sets the right resolution but no picture... Previosuly it was working perfectly in 1080p with my old 8800GT and win XP (have sold that machine unfortunately...)

I have:
- tried to install various drivers down to 185.85 - nothing has worked.
- rebooted PC with HDMI cable in, out, only HDMI in, only DVI monitor in and then later plugged in TV HDMI, etc - nothing
- searched for video card bios update, but there is none yet.

I have read in another thread in another forum, that a guy had the same problem, tried the same card with 4 different TVs and it worked with 2 of them and didnt provide signal to the other 2... what is going on? My previous 8800gt was just working properly with my TV.

Any idea that I am missing?
many thanks for any post in advance.
G.A.

Ok, so this is a bit of a strange question so i want sure where to post it. Its wifi related, its video related but its also baby related!

Getting the last bits and bobs before the impending arrival. One of the things we've to get is a video baby monitor but i'm looking for one that also can stream the picture over the web. I'd think it would be cool to be able to check in on things at home via the web once i have to go back to work.

When i started looking i was quite surprised at the scarcity of such devices! I'm sure there is quite a big market for such devices.

Here is what i've found so far:

Y-Cam Knight Video Baby Monitor Review | DIYFather.com - It's great to be a dad!
Disadvantage is it doesnt have a handheld monitor like normal now ip compatible solutions

Cool Mom Picks - Sassy Web Watch iC: A video baby monitor for the truly obsessed.
Seems to be U.S. only and uses MSN\skype:confused:

Anyone know of any others or anything similar?

This has an integrated Radeon HD4200 with hybrid crossfire support. Will this work with all Radeon 4000 series cards or can I use anything else? I've had a look on the AMD and ATI websites but there's no clear answer as to what cards are supported.

Is it worth using this as a cost-effective option to combine graphics cards (I may want to use a dual monitor and an external LCD tv, so having the extra ports will be useful)

Thanks.
