I like Google products, and I use gmail, so for me it's a no brainer. I'd just like to know what everyone else thinks, I know of some conspiracy theorists who think Google have too much information about us already.

I think they are aiming the light OS at the netbook market first of all when it's released next year, however they have mentioned they are looking to put this on higher spec machines also.

I can't seem to find any screenshots surfing the net... if anyone else has any better luck post the up here please.

Anyone know the reason behind naming the OS the same as the Chrome Browser? Seems really unnecessary and confusing to me :(

Cloud computing here we come

Thats why i was looking for a program that can do one or more of these features:

A option to set a comment or releasegroup name and so i can search from it.

Posibillity to add DVD front covers.

Adding a link from IMDB/getting it automaticly and then setting the score and maybe info automaticly

Nice interface?

Personal rating

Go to hard drive location (so it points me out where the file is)

I guess those are my needs, would be cool if something like that excisted, and im pretty sure people have tought of something simmilar too, to make. I hope you guys can help me find a program like that.. Oh btw, dvd's where ripped my own, so i dint do anything illegal!

Edit: This looks pretty good to me, but its for DVD's only, not for files on your hard drive. Movie Archive Software for archiving your movies automatically (for Windows & Mac OS X)

I decided to remove Mint and short of any better ideas I deleted the partition it was on and re formatted it to ntfs.

When I rebooted, the GRUB menu for linux appeared and there was no option for booting into windows. It obviously will not boot into Mint either as it no longer exsists.

I realise my only option may be to reinstall windows 7 and delete and reallocate the drives during the install routine, but I really would like to avoid doing that if I can as there is stuff on the drive I had yet to back up!!

Yep, I know I am a numpty :)

But if any of you guys/gals can give me a way of avoiding the reinstall option there may well be a cyber beer in it for you

cheers
Can I get good freeware or am I better off buying software - what would anyone recommend?
The only free ones I've tried seem to either reduce the quality or leave me with lines across the screen - is there a good package out there?

Help - well, not me - my idiot of a father! I installed Word 2007 for him due to it being able to save as a PDF doc for his business, now I encountered an error box which kept popping up regarding macro's when opening an old Word file but this wasn't a real problem. Anyway, when he gets home he then decides to try and remove the old Word 2002 on his laptop but manages to remove the whole of XP Pro suite of MS programs.

Anyhow, after realising he's deleted all the MS programs he comes to see me again and I do a sys restore but now, although the old XP Pro MS suite is restored -Word/Excel/Outlook etc they cannot be used or are limited and keeps asking for the original disk due to needing to be re-registered with the product key.

Now my dad can't find the original disk but the case with the product key is available - is there anyway to re-register somehow manually in the PC registry to negate having to insert the original CD?

Any clues? Thanks
