Our one concern is connecting the phone line up to the TV - our telephone socket is the other side of the house to the TV - will there need to be a cable run all the way between?

We have laminate floors everywhere so can't 'bury' the cable under carpet etc, & can't lift the laminate - the thought of a visible cable all through the house is definitely putting us off.

I've been with them under their various guises for the last 4 years and Sky's Xmas offer is becoming seriously tempting. HD was promised over 2 years ago and has yet to arrive. Seems very good. Just the remote response can be a bit slow! The install went very well, I told the guy to just leave the cable running across the floor as we are in the middle of refurbishment! Just the one question though, we have an old Hitachi 42PD5200 (which can't (and won't!) be replaced easily as it's built into the wall which only has one DVI connection and one scart. The DVD player normally gets dibs on the HDMI, but I was wondering as we only use the DVD occasionally, whether the Tiscali+ should be using it instead.

Is there noticable picture difference between the HDMI and RGB scart outputs?
