Got it sent from Lovefilm today and had a quick blast. I was in house alone so put on the 5.1 for a change. Have to say it does a superb job of recreating the movies atmosphere, sounds are great,... Have to say it does a superb job of recreating the movies atmosphere, sounds are great, hearing someone scream, 'help get me out' from behind my settee was freaky.

Alot of the gameplay is dark so your given a lighter thats perfect in lighting up just enough to see where your steppig but not enought to light up the whole room and take away the scare factor.

The puzzles are ok, bit easy up to now, but when you only have 1 min before your head is blown off, the speed factor makes puzzles really tense.

Other inmates are scarey enough and make you jump, but heres teh massive down point, combat is shocking, really shocking. But it doesnt happen much so i'll let em off.

Now I've got these two sat on my shelf and I'm determined to get started on one of them this weekend and hopefully get into the game.

I was hoping some of the most experienced xbox users could help out a father here please. Well basically I’m new to the Xbox scene and I bought my son a xbox 360 Elite console with a few games last week. He absolutely loves the console but there is a slight problem as he is after some type of racing go kart game.

What has actually happened is he owned a Nintendo wii before the Xbox and he didn’t want it anymore so I decided to sell the Nintendo wii, his favourite game was Mario kart Wii and he was totally addicted to playing that on-line until he grew out of it. He feels a little bit upset at the moment because he wants to play a go-kart game so could someone recommend the best kart game I can get for him? Ideally I would prefer it to be as similar to the Mario Kart as possible so would like to be cartoony rather than realistic and it should be available to play to be Xbox Live. I know on the psp he had games like pac man racing and shrek racing which were similar but anything I can get for the Xbox I would love it.

I know it’s kind of a stupid question but I would really appreciate as I don’t like seeing him upset. : (

The style of play either seems to be camping with scopes or run and gun, neither of which suits my style of play.

Are there any alternatives?
Shooters which require a bit more tactics and stealthy play?

I can't really think of any so it looks like it's back to SP RPG and driving games then.

I got made redundant which i was over the moon about and even with all this spare time i'm finding it hard to get regular plays of the games recently bought.

At the moment there is:

Modern Warfare 2
Forza 3
Fifa 10

Add to that i'll be taking delivery of Assassins Creed 2 and Left for Dead 2.

There will be people on here who work full time, have a far greater collection of new games to get through but like me can't help buying the latest blockbuster game...

Condemned - I am not someone who gets scared by games or films never have but i have to say this is the one and only to do such that. To this day i cannot think of anything with such a dark on edge atmosphere, walking slowly through the rooms with a touch and hearing bottles being knocked around. Then all of a sudden something comes running at you! For me though the bit that sent shivers through my body was those bloody mannequins! Me and a mate spent many nights at his with all lights off, surround sound on and 360 on big TV. Can be had for less than £10 and would recommend to anyone to pick it up.

Crackdown - Not sure what made me buy this probably boredom but what a gem it was, very simple and repetitive game play but how much fun could be had from collecting orbs and climbing the main building (can't think what it's called) spent many hours jumping from one building to another to find that green glow!
