Hi,

Sorry for asking such a dumb question but I have searched the web and the answers I've found haven't helped.
How do I only sync certain songs from itunes to my ipod? I'm using itunes 9.

I've clicked on my device and checked the "sync only checked songs and videos". But when I return to library-music there are no blue boxes beside my songs or albums to check or uncheck.
I suspect I need to find another view or screen.
My standard screen has Library down to play lists on the left. Thumbnails of all my albums in the centre and genius recommendation on the right.

Thanks,

Hi all. My son has asked me for an iPod Nano and speaker dock for christmas, but Im trying to persuade him into sticking with the expensive Nokia mobile mp3 I bought him last year and getting some sort of speaker setup for his bedroom to link into. Ive only a budget of around £100 plus family contributions, so Ive been looking at the AUDICA MPS1 SPEAKER SYSTEM or Audioengine A2 as I know nothing about iPods or their docks.
So, stick with a phone and better speakers, or go for the iPod and something to slot it into ?
All recommendations greatly received ( although I prefer the speaker option obviously ! )

Thanks for anything you may suggest.

Can somebody please advise how long a fully charged battery lasts playing only audio?
Also, is there a charge for internet browsing, or is it free through wifi hotspots?
Thirdly, whilst I'm asking: How do you watch films/programmes? Are they downloaded, streamed, purchased or free?

Thanks in advance.

Morning guys and gals
I've just joined the Sky Songs service thanks to an offer from MoneySupermarket.com and although I already successfully downloaded from ITunes and even (occasionally) Tesco without a problem, I have an issue that you may feel able to advise upon!

I have successfully downloaded the necessary Downloader and indeed the first downloaded album. It arrives in my PC downloads but in a form I do not recognise and calls itself a SKS file.

When I try to copy and paste into either of my MP3 players, again it arrives there but when you remove the MP3 from the PC and try to find and play the album from the MP3 players alone, it is nowhere to be found.
:lease:

I wasn't sure which section to put this in, as it kind of crosses them, but here goes:
I need some help, I'm just not sure what to do. I want to upgrade my portable audio setup, but I'm not really sure where to start.
Current MP3 Player: Samsung i8910HD/Omnia HD Samsung I8910 Omnia HD Smartphone: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo
Current Headphones: Shure E2Cs (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shure-SE102-Sound-Isolating-Earphone/dp/B001GOVTPE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1258498932&sr =1-2).

Now, this isnt a bad setup already by any means. Certainly, this combo blows away my laptop's sound quality with ease. But I just can't help feeling there's something missing. For example, I tried a song without any compression, a 68MB, straight-from-the-cd rip, which should have sounded epic, but I couldn't tell it apart from the regular one. Which is obviously bad.
So this leads to my question: Which one do I replace? My phone or my 'phones? My girlfriend will get me either a £100-150 pair of headphones or a £100-150 mp3 player for christmas, but not both (obviously!).
So, what does anyone suggest? Do I just need some better headphones, or is my phone miles away from the best sound quality anyway? Or if it is both, which needs upgrading more desperately (well, I wouldnt get rid of my phone, just get a better dedicated player).

Thanks :)

5. Creative X-fi 2.

It tricky finding anywhere that stocks them all to try out so what do people think.

I think sound quality, flac support, gapless playback, bluetooth are on my tick list. I have stayed away from ipods before but these days just so many products feature a docking port that it seems almost silly not to get one.

I really like the look of sonys new alarm clock also which has a dock but I don't know if it has a dock for it's own mp3 players.

Thanks in advance.
