I've currently got a stands unique ultimate high stand with my AV equipment on it. I'm wanting to change to a stand with walls and doors. I've been looking at a number of nice units, like several different BDI units and the quadraspire QKAV. but I've also just remembered that my current stand was also available with sides and doors.

Does anyone know of the walls and doors are retrofittable, and if so, how much they are?

As the post suggests I'm looking for 2 pairs of Black Speaker stands for my Tannoy FX5.1 Speakers, and have a couple of questions for anybody in the know

I'm swayed towards the Tannoy branded Speaker stands primarily, it looks like richer sounds are the best on price. These stands are actually specified as Tannoy SFX Stands, does anybody know if they will fit the FX model as well?

My guess is you just attatch a normal Plasma TV bracket (thats ment for a wall) onto the back panel wood and thats basicly it?

Would that be strong enough to hold 30kg?

As im going to have 2 shelves instead of 3 i will have one spare. Basically, the end bits where they lock onto the dowelled bits need to be made bigger in order to enlarge the shelves.

First post here, just need a little advice as you all appear to have a wealth of knowledge available on these things.

I have just mounted my 32" TV on the wall in my bedroom. Has anyone any suggestions where I could now put my xbox, dvd player and surround sound devices? I was thinking some kind of cabinet, but i cannot find one thin enough, i.e about the same width as a 32" tv and not too high? Any suggestions or examples?

Preferably light oak to match my other furniture. It has to have doors as I have an inquisitive 8MO son!

I'm mainly considering the Jahnke Power Rack 295 as I think this is closest to what I'm looking for (does anyone have any pics of this model in the Sahara finish? I think the Beech finish will be too light). I've also seen the Alphason Ambri ABR1100-LO but I've ruled this out (despite liking every other aspect of it) as it is just too low at 39.5cm and I don't want to go as far as modding it myself to add feet. Yup, I read every page of the ABR1100 uber thread here! I have a Panny TX-37LZD81 that will sit on top.

Are there *any* other alternatives to the Jahnke? I'm looking for a unit 45-60cm high, up to 130cm long and around at least 43-45cm deep. The only alternatives I can see at the moment is getting something made and that's likely to work out too expensive at £500-700.

Problem is Im not sure if it will suit. I will have the TV on the cantilever but also have a sky box and PS3 that I need to house in the stand. Was wondering if anyone has a stand like this and could tell me if the PS3/Sky box would fit on the shelf directly below the TV?

If not does anybody have an idea an where I can loo. I cant spend over £100 (much less would be better) and its to go in the corner so the width has to be under 1000mm.

So I've just set up my new Alphason stand (Ambri ABRD1100-B) & am having an issue with resonance from my Sky+ HD box & my PS3... need some advice!

The stand has a lower cabinet with a door which holds 2 x pieces of kit, and you can also place a 3rd item (PS3 in this case) on the top.

So I've put everything in, and am getting a really annoying low humming sound from the cabinet when the Sky box or PS3 is on, which I'm guessing is the hard drive causing a resonance inside the closed part of the cabinet. I know it's this issue as if I lift either up the noise stops, and if I open the cabinet door the noise stops. The back of the cabinet is closed in except one small-ish hole for the cables.

I am thinking I could make the hole larger in the back to open it up, but I really don't want to start cutting the cabinet as it's brand new. I would prefer to find something that I can put under the PS3/Sky box which will effectively stop the resonance from transmitting from the equipment to the cabinet.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or has cured this issue in the past?
