couple problems I've ran into:

Connecting External HD (1TB)
The USB port wont work with my external harddrive (Western digital My Book 1TB). Doesnt recognise it at all. It does say in the manual that "Removable HDDs equiped with less than 160 Gbytes are supported", however I was wondering if there was a way to connect it up and get it working?

My TV also has a wiselink USB slot where it does recognise the external HD but just displays 0MB and doesnt allow you to access it.

the ports work fine with a 2GB usb stick.

Using all speakers in stereo

When I play an Divx/ AVI file / music through the USB connection only the front two speakers work. Ive read the manual but cant seem to get all speakers working.

Any suggestions would be a real help!

I have just purchased a Panasonic TX-P46G10B television and i am looking to buy a new home cinema system to go with it. I have a Playstation 3 so the Blu-Ray option is covered. I do not have loads of cash to spend on separate speaker and amp set-ups and i am not a serious audiophile. I just want a reasonable system to get the best out of the PS3 and Blu-Ray films for £250 - £350. I have looked at the Panasonic SC-PT870E 5.1 DVD Home Cinema System and the Samsung HT-TZ325R 5.1 DVD Home Cinema System. Any ideas/comments on these two systems would be appreciated. Which is the better system? or any better options out there for the same budget? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another option I’ve been considering was to get a PS3 (as I don’t have the largest Blu-Ray collection and the ability to play games also would be a nice bonus) and a separate surround sound unit (although I’m not sure which to go for).

Ideally I’m thinking I would prefer a Sony one to take advantage of the BRAVIA sync to save messing around with several remotes and system settings.

When I go into it I just get the German news ,you tube,picaso,stock ticker,weather. I have seen a similar post but knowone had answered the question.

So to owners of the BT205/200 do you guys get Eurosport or not ?

This might seem daft as I am not that interested in Eurosport but it would be disapointing to miss out on other widgets if they were to become available so just wanted to know if the content changes depending on what kit you have.

Would be good if panasonic could get 4OD and iplayer on this with HD video. At the moment Viera Cast looks nice but dont do much,

We've just bought the Toshiba 46XV635DB LCD TV. After looking at various all in one systems I like the look of the Samsung HT-TZ325R

What I am not sure of is whether we'll able to get audio from the TV to play on the Samsung kit.

Can anyone advise on how these two connect together so that we get both DVD playing on the surround sound kit and the TV too.

If it helps the Toshiba has 3 HDMI slots and an optical digital audio output slot.

There is no SKY, cable or gaming consoles involved either - we're sad that way :)

Now I have a ps3 and a sony bravia 40w3000. I watch usually BRs and listen to classical music.

Reading some reviews and posts here it seems that the Sony HT-DDWG800 is what I actually need (within my budget of £300).

However I have a couple of questions:

- the kit is actually pretty big. Is there any smaller alternative?
- Can I use the system without the rear speakers at the beginning?
- Will the system be good for music?

Im going to buy an all in one home cinema system, but before i buy the wrong one, or something i cant use fully, i thought i would get my worries cleared up!

I want to buy the Samsung HT Bd 1252. However, i believe this has no HDMI input? Is this a big issue?

I have also been told that my sky wont be able to support 5.1 surround through HDMI? Is this also true? Can i get round this?

How would i go about setting up my Sky HD, my home cinema system, and my tv, with minimial wires, and also ensuring that if im watching blu ray dvd, or sky, all the speakers are still producing sounds, and i dont have to switch things around? I would hate to only have my dvd's through the speakers, and sky could only work through the tv speakers!

I understand seperates would be best, but cost is an issue, and i think a home cinema system will be enough for me. Good starting point as its my first place, with my first set up etc....

Also, is there another system i should seriously consider?
