I have activated the passport plan in Australia via my Vodafone contract. I am able to telephone my mother on her mobile beginning with 04 (Telstra). But if she tries to redial last number to call back, the number will not connect. How can this problem be rectified please?

Hello All

I recently lost my SE C905 . I have a pay monthly O2 contract.

My Dad has a vodafone contract and being over 50 doesnt like change. He has a free upgrade and has never taken it because he likes his Blackberry Pearl.

If I go ahead a get an N97 mini from Vodafone will I have any problems in using this with my O2 sim?
I've read I'll need to get an activation code from Vodafone to use other sim cards in the phone, will that be a problem? Can they say no?
Also on the O2 website you can get settings sent to the phone to configure gprs, internet, email etc... But O2 don't offer this service for the N97 as they don't sell that phone. Will it be a problem setting this phone up?

Your help will be massively appreciated

Thanks

afternoon all,

My fiancee was with Vodafone, when she went to leave and get her PAK code she was told that her contact had been renewed without her permission after a sales person had called and was told she didn't want to.

The person she spoke to allowed her to have her PAK code so she could move and said she had no outstanding balance to pay. She has since moved to Orange and last week found out they had taken out £81 without informing her what it was for.

She had no bill through the post, or by email. No phone call and she couldn't log onto the Vodafone site as she had cancelled her contract by moving. She rang up and was told that it shouldn't have been taken and that she was due a credit of £69, which they weren't going to send until she had rung up.

I sent a letter to their complaints department and someone is ringing her this evening but we want to know where she stands with regards to some kind of compensation. When she went to cancel, the bloke who gave her her PAK code said she could prosecute the person who unlawfully renewed her contract.

Is this correct? To be fair the bloke cancelled her contract and she was prepared to forgive and forget until they took the £81 out and weren't going to inform her of the credit. Because she hasn't had a bill we have no idea what the £81 was for, or what the £69 credit is for, or if she is due the £69 on top of the £81. To be honest it's been a complete cock up on their part.

Would it be wrong to ask for some kind of goodwill gesture/compensation?

Cheers

The Samsung Omnia HD or the I phone 3GS.....

Both clearly have there pros and cons with the Omnia having probably the better spec but the Iphone having the better UI! But I just cannot make my mind up one way or the other! If anyone out there can offer me an opinion or advice I would be incredibley appreciative!
Sony Aino
I liked the features of the aino as the remote play feature would be ideal but feel the phone may not be sufficient an upgrade over what I have already, The satio is very appealing its a shame it doesnt have the remote play feature, and I have heard the HTC is excellent. I would be using the phone for web browsing and media and obviously making calls

What would you suggest?

I have a friend who has been with T-Mobile for 7+ years. He agreed to re-new his contract a week ago and T-Mobile were sending through a Sony Erricsson Sateo. There has been no sign of the mobile phone so he called T-Mobile today to find out what was going on. Apparently Sony have recalled all Sateo phones and this was the reason his hadn't arrived (nice of them to tell him). After having a play with my iPhone he has decided he would like to jump ship and get an iPhone with either O2 or Orange. Where does he stand with cancelling his T-Mobile contract and getting a PAC code ? Can he quote the "cooling off" period and ask for a PAC code ?

Thanks upfront

Hi,

I know nothing about the mobile market as I have always had work phones. My missus wants a new Orange PAYG phone for Xmas. She is not into lots of media such as music, video or mail, and only does about 20 calls and perhaps 30 texts per week. Doesn't want touch screen, just simple key pad, but does want a decent camera.

I don't see the point in spending too much on this as there is no need to pay for any 'bells and whistles', I have looked on web and found Nokia 3600 (3.2 MP camera) and 6303.

1. Do you think these two will be good for her needs?
2. any point in spending the extra on the 6303?
3. what comparable phones/ or better in this price bracket should I look at?

cheers

Does anyone have any recommendations for a decent handset? I dont really want to spend more than £70-80 at maximum on it. I'm not fussed about mobile internet or anything like that, as long as its reliable and I can text, make calls and ideally it has a camera then I'm happy.
Any thoughts?
