Toshiba laptop.. good price?

Go to dixons and type in 944592 in product code (available this w/end for £900)

Is it available cheaper elseware?

Also what product range is it- I can't seem to find it on Toshiba UK site. I'm checking how much the memory upgrades are on Cruical's site- but I don't know what model it is.

Oh the sales monkey automatically included warrenty, and he say you can cancel it if he wishes (yeah right put on hold for 6 hours)

Thanks

Brother has just bought that laptop (Toshiba A20- P4 2.4Ghz, 256MB, Trident video, DVD-ROM/CD-RW) for business & DVD it's pretty good- but for games it's slower than mine!! (P4 1.6ghz, SIS 650 video & chipset)

Games on the Tosh are unbearably slow- GTA III at 640x480 16bit is unplayable (latest drivers & DX9 installed)

He's a bit annoyed!!

Not the easiest website to navigate, but I found it.

Have you looked at www.savastore.com ?

Ta for the link, but the Toshiba A20 doesn't seem to be on that site- think it's a brand-new model (not bad spec apart from the video card, also it lacks a firewire port)

Had a quick look on how much replacing the CD-ROM in my lappie with a DVD-ROM/CD-Writer drive.. not worthwhile.

Probably the best method is finding a firewire box and fitting a 5.25" DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive.
