£828 off top notch Dell

Fancy saving on a top spec Dell PC from www.dell.co.uk

How about a Dell Dimension 8300 with :

P4 3.0 Ghz CPU (800 MHZ FSB)
512MB DDR400 RAM
120GB Serial ATA HD
18" TFT Monitor
128MB Radeon 9800 Pro Graphics
Soundblaster Audigy 2 soundcard
16 x DVD player
4 x DVD+R\+RW
Altec Lansing ADA 995 Dolby Digital Speakers with Subwoofer
Win XP Home
MS Works 7.0
Dell Multimedia Keyboard
3 Year On Site Business Next Day warranty

All for £1526 inc VAT. The normal price for this would be £2354 inc VAT. (But excluding delivery). This is a saving of £828!

You can reduce the price by £129 (plus VAT!) just by reducing the warranty. Further reductions are possible if you ring them up by taking off the expensive monitor, speakers, etc.

Just use e value code 200 D52REV (in the e-value bit on the website, the 200 goes in the first box and D52REV in the second box).

I've just ordered mine - minus warranty & monitor, but with upgrade to 1GB RAM and a few bits of software for a stunning £1300 inc VAT & Delivery.

doesn't look like you can remove the monitor or speakers from the drop down lists. Any one else have this problem?

Apparently they won't take the speakers off the system.

I don't know why - they do it with other systems...

Still - the price is great, and there is always EBay to flog the speakers on.

This is still available, but with an even better deal.

Get it now, and get an upgrade to 1GB Ram free (worth about £140 before VAT), and also get a Lexmark Z35 Printer, 64MB USB Memory Key or Logitech Cordless Optical Keyboard and Mouse free.

An absolute bargain is an even better deal now.

I'm very, very happy with mine. The noise level is acceptable, and the performance is fantastic.

If only I'd waited till this enhanced deal was available I'd have splashed some of the cash I'd saved on a 20" TFT screen.

It was a site offer on any desktop PC at the time I made the post. Dells deals change every week or so, so keep an eye on the site to see if it is ever repeated...
