Clarification on the above point:
PMC (who are Bryston's UK distributor) apparently aren't prepared to support someone who says "I've just bought this piece of Bryston kit from an american dealer" because they (and Bryston) feel it isn't fair for the UK distributor to have to support stuff they didn't profit from selling.
BUT:
PMC
do offer support for second hand Bryston kit, regardless of how many previous owners there are, and, according to James Tanner of Bryston, there's unlikely to be a problem if someone bought the equipment second hand in this country, even if the previous owner bought it in america.

As far as I know Mr DanInTheMix is a private individual - buying stuff from a US dealer in his own name with your money, and then sending it on to you.
I think he can get Theta kit as well, although possibly only with a US power supply and step-down transformer. You'd have to check with him about that.
