Richer Sounds One Day Sale

They are having a one day sale to dispose of 1000's of units at stock at reduced prices. This is on Sunday 18th May. Lists of stock are available here and click on the store name which will give you a list of items in Adobe Acrobat format.

Most of the stuff that I looked at seems to be budget kit (mainly Sherwood) and I don't know how competitive the prices are.

I've just had another look at the Midlands branches and if you are after speakers I wouldn't waste your time as they are conspicuous by their absence.

You've got to click on the link to one of the stores from the drop down list. Once the specific store has been brought up there will be a link saying:

"Click here to download open box hot list"

However, the link will only be shown if the store you have selected has any offers on (Belfast doesn't).

The Belfast store may use the "Richer Sounds" name but they don't seem to have much to do with the running of things there, I phoned the main Richer Sounds phone number to enquire about the Belfast store recieving stock of an offer they were running at the time (I think it was the pronto one a few months back) and was told that they don't actually supply them with stock, that they are seperate from the other Richer Sounds stores... I found this very strange.

Regards,
Iain.

Belfast store is connected with the dublin store....... but dublin will only admit it if you force them. Basically the belfast store is the worst place to get hifi because if something really becomes a problem, no one will admit responsibility

Richer Sounds Dublin and Cork have shut down..., seems all business is routed through the Belfast Store now. Web orders on richersounds.ie are processed via Belfast.

Slightly off topic... Q for you guys in Northern Ireland ... Can you give me the names of any AV stores in NI, Im on the verge of ordering an AE300, and would like to demo one before buying, I would like to ring a few places in NI to see if I can get a demo rather than fly to london..

All names and numbers appreciated...

Thx...

Vex.

Just a small note to everyone planning to buy bargains on sunday, read the small print they are all Open box with 3 month warranty! and seven day exchange. Its all on the site but before you shell out i would read the small print a couple of times, some are ex-service and warranty repairs.

Pioneer DV737 at Sheffield for £199. WOW (I may buy it just for the hell of it).

Mission 77DS in there somewhere too. Though only £10 off their typical price (so £89.95)

Marantz SR5200 for £149.

Saw a AVR1802 for around £130.

No sign of the 77C1 yet.

I went to the richer sounds website & there was no link for the belfast offers (not that I'm going to travel there - i was just curious). Have they removed it from the website? Does anybody have the PDF file saved for me to have a browse of?

Just got back from Richer Sounds in Reading. Cued up from about 8.30am and there already a dozen people in front of me. By 10am there were about 200+ people in the cue. Managed to get the following goodies:

Sony DVP-NS900V DVD £99.95 no remote
Sony DVP-S725 DVD £99.95 complete
Sony MZR909 MD Walkman £59.95 no ac adapter (but my wife's unit has the same charger so no problem)
Cambridge Audio S700 DAC £59.95 no AC adapter so this will probably go back.

All in all well worth the trip even though a couple of the units may get returned within the 7 day refund period.

Did anyone get the AX1 from Cambridge?
