Onkyo TX-SR606 AV Receiver with 4 year warranty

£399 delivered but with a 4 year warranty instead of the 2 years everyone else is offering...

I phoned them to check and it is apparently correct.

That is a good deal - I've been looking at this receiver with great interest. Looks to have a good feature set at a superb price point!

Onkyo offer a 3 year warranty as standard on their AV receivers.

Most retailers are quoting 2 years...I ask this as some mention 3 but when you go to the product details it lists 2 years

The standard Onkyo manufacturer's warranty is two years on models up to the 705. The three year warranty is for the 805, 875 and 905.

Just got a call from Peter Tyson, 2 years with Onkyo, 2 years with them so would appear to not be a misprint or mistake...hopefully this will be released soon really looking forward to plumbing it in!

That makes sense although IMO I think the retailer should make it clear that there is the 2 year manufacturer's warranty plus 2 years extended by themselves. The way it reads on their site you could think that Onkyo provide 4 years manufacturer's warranty.

Richersounds do price match and will match the price you find and give you £10 back if you find the product cheaper elsewhere including the internet, plus you can get the supercare on top which gives you 5 years cover for about £40, which if you don't use the cover you get back after the time is up.

I did look at them but they didn't have it on the site at the time I ordered.

They are still advertising the 505 for £399.95!

They have the silver for same price, if you look at hifix, they're doing it for I think £395, if you tell richer sounds that, they'll price match and give you £10 on top of it, thus £385.

With 5 year cover for around £40, that if you dont use is refunded, seems to be one of the best deals i've seen around.

I'm tempted to get one, but im not sure if there's going to be a drop in price in the next few months.
