Re: Toshiba 37WLT68 - 37" 100Hz Only ££559.99!

Anyone got any views on this TV? I quite fancy it, especialy at this rather attractive price. I was going to buy the Panasonis 32LXD70 but after reading about the issues with artefacts around players when watching rugby or football, it turned me right off the set. I decided to look at the toshiba's and came accross this post.

So does this tv compare to the panasonic?

It's meant to have a great picture and excel at fast moving stuff like televised football and video games.

My mates got one, and i've just ordered one from Amazon. Can't wait to finally get a HD set.

I've got one, you can see it in my sig. Great set, no complaints from me. Only slight issue is the remote, which is not the most responsive. Personally, I went for a logitech multi-remote and it all works a treat. SD picture is fantastic and the 100Hz motion thingy works nicely. The onboard sound is very good too, with Onkyo speakers. Connectivity is pretty good as well, 3 HDMIs, one component and one VGA and two scarts (only one of them RGB though). I paid £950 for this back in March and thought I was getting a damn good price then! This time last year it was £1500. Great set and for this price an absolute steal!

I have taken the plunge and bought this, along with the glass stand for £40 or £60 cant remember, the fathe rin law will buy the stand off me for £100 :-)

Now all I need to do is sort out the special HD offer at Comet, I have tried but the system is down which is a pain in the chris rear.

Looking forward to Tuesday now.

I brought one of these back in June for £800 and it's a fantastic set, I've got my PS3 and SkyHD hooked up and the pictures are amazing, The only problem I've had is some pictures look too dark, you just have to tweak the settings.

Re: Toshiba 37WLT68 - 37" 100Hz Only ££559.99!

Well it arrived today, its a beauty. Just need to change the default settings I guess. Any recomendations on what to change.

What I have noticed so far is that when selecting the SKY channel selector, the first second is sort of blurred, and it has to re focus to display the menu clearly, also I switched to SKY Sports and it seems a bit "blocky" like small blocks in the background.
Also, the sound seems a little tinnie.

So what are the recomendations from the default?

There's a thread in the forum dedicated to this set, you can get the setup details from there. Just do a search on 37wlt68.
