Just wondering, does the 10% discount still apply to orders for AVForum members ?

I haven't used dvdworldusa before, but they appear to be getting a good reputation, so I thought I would give them a try.

Can I use the 10% discount online, or is it only for phone orders ?

Also, one of the items is a pre-order. Does this still qualify for the 10% discount ?

I phoned DVD World USA today and the 10% discount still applies. You have to make it clear in the comments section of your account that you're an AV Forums member and state your user ID.

The 10% discount doesn't apply to everything though, it doesn't include already heavily discounted things like the Lost Season 2 box set.

This was my first contact with them and they (Damon) were very helpful and friendly.

I think I had the same problem, but if you add something to your shopping cart you get the option to create an account.

Just to let everyone know that this discount does NOT apply to any HD DVD's listed on the site, and I think only 2 Blu-Ray films are included. They are still good prices but I made the mistake of just taking this post for proof that I would be getting "10% off everything".

I ordered my first HD DVDs yesterday from DVD World USA and chose the cash payment to save 5%. I set up an online bank payment, but opted to pay cash at a branch today as it was quicker.

All phone calls have been answered promptly and the service has been friendly and welcoming, no matter who I've spoken to.

I would like to say thank you DVD World USA and I look forward to receiving my first HD DVDs.

Has anyone ordered and received a HD player from these people. I fancy the Sony BDPs300 at £349 and heaps of inexpensive BluRay discs.

Just worried a bit about the player being slung about in transit.

Yep, I bought my HD-A1 from DVDWorldUsa last September. I couldn't believe how quick they delivered - about 3 days from memory. The box and unit inside it were in perfect condition when they arrived and I haven't had a single problem with it since. In my experience DVDWorldUsa are very good indeed.

From my experience I wouldnt buy from this lot of they offered me 90% off. Took months for a refund after getting trading standard involved and made up complete lies all because I wanted a refund. Yeah they are great taking your money, just wait till you want it back. In my opinion, this is a cowboy outfit.
