This is a great deal because of Scan's 3 Year Warrantee. Normally I would say steer clear of the Seagate drives because they have apparently reduced the previous 3 Year Warrantee to 1 Year which shows very little trust in their product.

I spoke to Seagate pre-sales on the phone, today. Since the beginning of 2012, due to customer complaints, the original 12 months warranty on these drives is now 24 months.
