Sorry about the ignorance...... but what does it mean by graded??

Does it mean that it's not in perfect condition??

Cheers
Nik

Sony Dealer explanation of Graded is a product that has a fault spotted at production line level, is then re-worked to have the fault fixed and then is sold as "graded".

Dealer says there is some sort of legislation that does not allow these production line re-workings to be sold as "new". I have seen 3 of the graded models in the flesh- all could only be decribed cosmetically as mint condition.

I bought one of the graded HS10's but it developed the lamp light problem and wouldn't start- so it was returned. Sony offer a 7day no quibble replacement/money back guarantee (even on graded goods).

I took the refund- I may go back to the HS10 but I hope to demo a HS20 next week - if it is significantly better, I'll go that route.

Thanks RKB.... I'd love to go for the HS20 myself, but we've just had a baby 2 weeks ago, and of course my Infocus decided to blow up (again) last week
I can just about go a grand, I've missed out on 2 HS10's this week on the forum n:
Once you get used to having a projector you really miss it when you don't.......
Thanks Again
Nik
