I am selling my Pioneer P88RS head unit as I have recently changed cars and it’ll be a pain to install in my new one, damn Mini stereo!
It was purchased from CAD in October 2007 and it has run beautifully since. It has recently been returned direct from Pioneer for a service and they have given it a clean bill of health after replacing a few component parts which are prone to problem.
Pioneer P88RS head unit
The DEH-P88RS comes from the pedigree of the Pioneer Reference Series – driving pure sound staging in your car.
Audio reproduction is competition-grade. The high performance DSP, 24-bit Burr-Brown Advanced Segment-Type DAC and digital Low Pass and High Pass Filters for both 2 and 3-way audio, deliver crystal audio quality with extremely low levels of noise. The tuner also features D4Q+ technology, which delivers advanced FM/AM stereo reception with noise reduction, eliminating external interference.
The unit features a Hi-Volt Output (5V), which provides a stronger signal to amp – again, with less noise and more definition. To optimise sound image, staging and frequency response, the DEH-P88RS uses automatic time alignment and equalisation to adjust the audio settings.
This unit combines refined style – with a motorised aluminium face plate and white OEL screen - and high quality components. It’s the audiophile’s in-car CD tuner.
Pioneer CB-IB100 iPod adapter
Tap into the power of portable digital music with the iPod® adapter. Start with any Pioneer headunit equipped with an IP-Bus connection and use the optional adapter CD-IB100 II to link your iPod to your sound system for - literally - days of your favourite digital music. Pepping up a cross-country trip or spicing up your daily commute, the Pioneer iPod® adapter also does double duty as an iPod charger.
Just a quick glance at your headunit says it all: song, artist, album and more. Via the headunit or remote, you scan the music you want by playlist, genre, artist, album or simply search for a specific song.
Bet you never thought a Pioneer headunit could be this cool? Clearly, it is time to indulge your digital lifestyle and enjoy thousands of songs on your iPod® without a single tad of quality loss - all thanks to your Pioneer iPod® adapter.
Pioneer CD-BTB200 blue tooth adapter
Up convert your existing Pioneer CD tuner, navigation or A/V system to Bluetooth – just add the CD-BTB200 adapter.
This adapter gives you full Bluetooth functionality with your existing Pioneer headunit. Make and receive calls and manage your contacts – without intrusive wires, ear pieces or headsets.
The CD-BTB200 also incorporates the Bluetooth audio profile, so you can stream music from your phone or portable audio player via your car sound system.
All you need to start is an IP-Bus connection on your existing Pioneer headunit (all DEH-P and AVH-P models as well as the AVIC-X1R), so you can connect the adapter and enjoy all the benefits of Bluetooth.
I also have all the necessary cables for this to connect to a new VX Astra, it may also be compatible with other VX models but you will have to check. It allows the use of the steering wheel controls and retains the trip computer screen.

The HU has a few marks to the surround however these are not heavy. I can get pictures in the morning to highlight. All comes boxed with full instructions and original cables.
I am looking for £300 without the VX wiring or £325 with + postage.
I am in SK8 area and would welcome a demo/collection.
Regards
