Hello,

I've found a cracking deal at my local sony centre. Sony KDL40w5810 Freesat LCD plus a free BDPS363 with 3 free movies with a 5 year GT. Thet also offer a free install on your dish, I know that john lewis charge £79. The ticket in the shop is £899 but if I bring my old Tv in I get £100 off. For £799 I might get one tomorrow.

Do prices differ Sony store to Sony store?

It was the Sony Centre in Westfield in Derby. I paid for it today ang going to pick it up tomorrow.

I've checked with a couple of Sony Centres local to me (Hertfordshire). One is offering the deal (KDL-40W5810 with free BDP-S363 bluray player + 3 HD movies + free dish installation + 5 yr guarantee on TV) for £839.99 after trading in your old TV, while another is offering it for £899.99 after trade-in. But you are probably better trading in a small tv as I have an old 32" Sony which is too big/heavy to take to the shop and I was told in this case that they would charge about £65 to take the old TV away. So it's probably best to check with your local store what their particular offer is as it seems to vary from one to the next.

I believe it is rang my local sony dealer (Bristol) and confirmed I was actually ringing up to see if they had any kdl 40w5500 on disply so I could have a look and the chap mentioned this deal

Here in Brighton the KDL-40w8510 is £999.99 with the blue ray and 3DVD's. Great tv but still a bit pricey. May be worth waiting till i'm home in Bristol at chritmas to buy it. Can it vary that much?

According to todays Metro newspaper M&S are doing the 32" W5810 + free Bluray player and free 5yr warranty for £649.

But the M&S website does not mention the Bluray player.
