Nespresso Coffee machines - £40 credit offer

Nespresso are running an offer with many retailers (including online) where they offer you £40 of credit towards Nespresso coffee pods if you purchase any Nespresso machine between 19th of November 2009 and the 31st of January 2010.

Since you are going to need the pods if you buy the machine I consider this as good as £40 cashback.

Note that not all retailers are included in this offer e.g. Coop Electrical have a Krups Citiz and Milk for just £153 but they dont provide the credit voucher.

A bit of google and pricerunner should find some good prices - note that even if a particular site does not mention the £40 credit offer it is probably still worth ringing and checking - e.g. John Lewis don't mention the offer on the website but they were definitely running the offer in-store this morning.

Thx for posting. Am considering a Nespresso machine as an xmas pressie for OH (& me) and this makes it a bit more worthwhile.

Are you a espresso person or latte / cap type?
I ask because if you like Latte / Cap then the Magmix M190 Citiz + Milk (also referred to as 11300) is the best rated coffee machine by Which magazine.
Also, a work colleague who is a coffee nut bought the above over the weekend and he is well happy with it.

I personally went for the Krups XN7106 as it was a bit cheaper and I fancied a dash of red in the kitchen.

Note that all Nespresso machines seem to have a 3yr warranty direct with the Nespresso club if registered with them online - this is regardless of the fact that Magimix models are sold with 3yr mfr warranty and Krups only seem to have 2yr mfr warranty.

I recently went Nespresso.

I got this one

Magimix Nespresso M100 Coffee Maker & Aeroccino (Metal Grey): Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

and am very pleased with it.

Bought it before the £40 credit offer started but I'm not sure I would have got a voucher from Amazon anyway.

Really like the Aeroccino milk frother - makes lattes and cappucinos very simple and clean.

Cheers,

Nigel

I also considered the M100 + Aero but didnt like the idea of two plugs etc. The above two models in my post have the Aero base built into the main base and hence only one plug.

Or the Amazon website.

However, your receipt will need to show a purchase date of 19th Nov onwards

I've just received what I feel is a pretty tactless letter from Nespresso.

I already have a Nespresso machine bought in September so I don't qualify. Nespresso know exactly when I bought the machine because it all gets registered when you set up a Nespresso account to buy coffee pods.

So the letter starts of saying that in recognition of my loyalty to the Nespresso Club they are delighted to give me two Privilege vouchers.

But these require that I buy a machine from 19th Nov onwards. They know I already have a machine, know when I bought it, know I don't qualify - so what are they trying to do, rub my nose in it.

Oh and by the way, these vouchers are for £60 each, not £40 - so would be a fantastic deal apart from the fact that they are useless to me.

Cheers,

Nigel

Just by way of info in case you want the discount up front. If you purchase your nespresso machine in Selfridges they give you the nespresso discount at the till (rather than you having to reclaim via post).

We did this when buying our last machine earlier this year.

Was that a cashback on the machine or a credit for free coffee pods?

Also, are the machines discounted at all in Selfridges during sales?

I paid £159 inc delivery for my Krups Citiz + Milk from Buy - Magimix | Kitchenaid - Artisan |Cuisinart | Oneida | Dualit from Kitchkof.com

Apologies - it was a cashback offer (Should have read the thread properly). They may still offer something or at least the credit at the till.

I am in tomorrow (I work 2mins away) so will have a look.

On my last walk through they had not discounted the machines in the sale.

My wife was in Oxford st yesterday so I asked her to pick up some capsules from the Selfridges Nespresso Boutique.

Mixed experience.

Positive: When she went to pay for the capsules it turned out that my £40 credit had already been applied to my account - so she only ended up paying a few quid in total (she got 14 packs). That was impressive as I only posted off the claim form a few days ago.

Negative: Staff were extremely miserly. I had asked my wife to try and get 3 single sample capsule of the Crus that I had not tried out and was interested in trying. They initially only agreed to providing one free sample capsule - even though she was buying some! Eventually after bit of persistence she managed to get 2 free sample capsules!
I was very disappointed - by my estimates I will probably spend £200-£300 a year on Nespresso pods and yet they left a bad taste over a 30p capsule! and thats the retail price - how much is it really costing Nespresso 5p? 10p? 15p?

On a different tack here, does anyone know if the citiz machines will make hot chocolate as well as coffee?
While I love coffee, my other half hates it, (drinks tea mainly), but also hot chocolate, and this would persuade of the advantages of such a machine. And ease my guilt at spending on myself only!

AFAIK there are no hot chocolate capsules for the Nespresso range.

However, one of my colleagues who has a Citiz and Milk machine claims the milk frother does help make a very nice frothy milk hot chocolate drink. Apparently his wife uses just for this purpose!

But I have not tried this for myself yet.

They are doing a 30, 40 or 50 credit to your Nespresso account when you buy particular machines.

You can register for the credit online at the Nespresso UK website (currently down) or download a voucher http://www.johnlewis.com/jl_assets/p...esso_26_11.pdf
