Let's not forget that the Paypal guarantee looks great on paper but isn't quite as good if try and claim on it.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm always very wary of supposed business websites that use Hotmail email addresses with orders taken under the carpet like this.

If you have a quick look on Google you can find the same monitor for less and have the assurance of buying it from an actual online shop.

I wouldn't use Microdirect either.

I had faulty ram and a faulty gfx card from them at the same time. Took ages to get a refund - about 6 weeks.

Emails are ignored, I was sending 3 a day. It wasn't until I said that I'd be contacting my bank to get the money that I finally got a reply. When I finally got the money back I had to chase them again for the delivery cost.

I purchased three of these for home use from Amazon for about £145 inc p&p.
Wanted a three monitor set up running 1080 res' with at least two digital inputs each, that weren't as big as 24" or more to leave me a little desk space

Cracking monitors for the money.

In this price bracket I highly recommend them.

I just read the remarks about "fool and money" and paypal not being any good if there is a problem........ I agree.......... but my solution (which as worked for me many times, once with paypal ) is use a credit card.

I pay paypal with a credit card, problem with paypal .... put the transaction in dispute with the credit card company.... worked a treat.

The vendor had ignored me for 2 weeks of e-mailing and phoning, threatened paypal and him with a card dispute, 2 hours later he resolved the problem properly.

Another reason for the card and a very good reason too, it's not your money that get's stolen, it's the credit card companies......... use your bank account.... you have to fight to get YOUR money back.
