Home Networks Are Coming....

A short but sweet article on the DVD Recordable site about the upcoming Content Sharing Standard:
http://www.dvd-recordable.org/module...rder=0&thold=0

The benefits of all this from a DVD recorders point of view is that you will be able to pipe recordings around the house regardless of whether the disks play on other machines (this will be especially important for BluRay). It is also advantageous as we 'upgrade' to players that offer DVD-Audio, SACD and HiMAT playback - again we'll be able to pipe things around the house be it via cables or WiFi.

Still sometime before we'll see these devices as common place but it is the start of the long mooted 'home network' which can't come too soon IMHO.
