prog scan on panny E50?

I keep seeing on the web that my dvd recorder DMR E50 has a progresssive scan output. Is this true as I cant find out in the manual, which probably meens not but I keep seeing it.

No - US version only. A few DVD recorders are set to have PS in the next few months - JVC (PAL/NTSC), Pioneer 3100/5100 (NTSC, haven't heard PAL confirmed yet although it may well have it), Samsung (NTSC). The next generation Panasonics (from Feb 04) will have NTSC PS.
