HXD 870 Channel problem please help!

Here's what happens. I turn on the tv (Sony KDL32D3000) and get a perfect picture including Mux D group inc film4. I then switch tv inputs to the HXD 870 and look for film4, but no signal is shown. I then retune the HXD 870 digital channels thinking this will solve the problem. Still no film4 and also when I then switch inputs back to the TV tuner film4 (and mux D) has lost it's signal!
This makes no sense to me as the same aerial input is feeding into the 870 and then the TV!
Please please help!

Firstly how is the aerial connected to the TV and HXD i.e is the aerial fed to the HXD and from the HXD to the TV or are you using a splitter or ?

When film 4 is on the TV are all MUX D channels there and are they all missing when you cannot get film 4 either by the HXD or the TV?

I think however that probably your MuxD reception is borderline like it is for me particularly in certain weather conditions and it is dropping in and out. This happens less on the TV which may have a slightly more sensitive tuner than the HXD. Although I have found that in these circumstances even swapping the leads from wallplate to HXD and HXD to TV can make one appear better than the other. in receiving MuxD

THanks for your help.
1. THe aerial is fed to the HXD then from the HXD to the TV
2. It's all Mux D channels.
When I look at film4 throuh the TV the image is perfect, that's why I thought something odd might be going on rather than just borderline reception (with which I associate digital blocky picture break up)

Re: HXD 870 Channel problem please help!

Solved. I discovered that I lost the channels on the TV as soon as I even turned the HXD 870 on! Seems like only one of the devices could recieve the signal for Mux D or something. ANyway I changed one of the cables and all is fine. Very strange but hey ho it works now! THanks for your help
