Panasonic EX75 remote control problem

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

Every time I press any button on my remote control "DVD 1" is shown in the display and nothing happens. I can still use the buttons on the recorder itself, just not the remote.

Please can someone help?

Somehow the remote code has become changed.

It has three optional codes ... your machine obviously wants you to send Remote 1 codes and you are sending something else.

To change the remote to Remote 1 codes :

If the remote control setting does not match that of the unit, DVD 1, 2 or 3 appears on the unit’s display.
Press ENTER and press the appropriate number key 1, 2 or 3 simultaneously for at least 2 seconds.
