Samsung DVD-HR737 Sky problems

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Samaung DVD-HR737. Everything working fine however i can not get it to recognise all my sky channels. It only seems to recognise the channel that is currently being watched i.e. AV2 on my telly. Is it that it will only ever record from whatever is displayed on AV2 or is there some way i can get it to record from the different sky channels?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Samsung DVD-HR737 Sky problems

Your DVD recorder can obviously only record the Sky channel that your Sky box is currently tuned to. It doesn't have a Sky tuner built into it, it can't record any other Sky channel than what you are watching. It records Sky via a scart connection - the scart connection will only carry the current Sky signal from the Sky box, not a different channel than the one you are watching.

However, is that what you are asking? Or are you saying it can only record what is being shown on your TV, regardless of whether that is Sky, Freeview or analogue TV. If so, then you have not got the correct AV input selected for recording on your DVDR. You are recording from the scart connecting your DVDR to your TV, rather than the scart connecting your DVDR to your Sky box.
