What to buy?

I’m going to be buying a DVD Recorder tomorrow. I know a bit of stuff about them but have no idea what to get. I have a budget of £200 but might be able to go a little over. This is going to used in a living room. Watch DVD's and record shows. So it needs a hard drive. I also want to be able to use a camcorder with it.

So what can I get for this price. I’m new to all this technology so I don’t have much of a clue. I don’t care too much about the looks as long as it gives good picture and sound thats the main thing. Also I want it to be quite. A person at work told me the hard drive noise can be really intrusive on he’s.

Any advice would be appreciated.
