Problems with Samsung DVD-R130

Hey!

I hope someone can help me. I went out and impulse-bought a Samsung DVD-R130 in the hope that I'd be able to easily record some tv data for coursework purposes.

Everything appears to be working fine. The DVD plays in the player, and in a different player, but when I put my finished disc into my laptop pc it won't play. At all. Does anyone have any ideas why this is? Or what I could do the solve this problem? It's driving me crazy as I really need to be able to play the files on my pc.
