Problems recording from Sky via Sony RDR HX525

I have managed to connect my Sony RDR to my Toshiba LCD & Sky digibox & get the Sony's EPG to recognise all my Sky channels most of the time.

But, some days the EPG doesn't down load although the set up has remained exactly as when it did down load.

When I go thru Set Up again, selecting line 3 as my Sky box the EPG attempts to change the prog no. to 101 - as its meant to.

Unfortunately the no. it tries to change to itsn't 101 - its not easy to make out the number it is but it seems to begin with 0. It will then show a 2 digit number rather than the 3 required.

Usually if I do the above often enough the EPG works but its not worked for over a week now & I'm wondering if the RDR is faulty.

Before I try to take it back to the shop I'd be really grateful if anyone could help.
