Pioneer DVR-520h/is it worthless after digital change over?

Hi all,
Will I still be able to use this machine with a simple free view box connected?
If so how?
Do I just connect it and do a reserch of channels through the box? In March, Stockholm will no longer have an analogical signal.

Hi

Yes you can still use it with a Freeview box.

Normally you would then set timer recordings using the Freeview box EPG, and the digital box then turns the recorder on to start recording. There are a couple of ways this can be done, best to check the manual but I think it is either by telling the recorder to "Auto Record" before you put it into standby or via a SCART lead and SmartLink.

thanks, but auto record I could not get to work because as soon as any imput comes on line 1 the recorder begins.
All the cheap set top boxs over here can not be put on standby.
I was wondering if it is possible to time the program with the dvr and leave it in standby,and the freeview box set to the same channel as the program?
Could you please tell me more about the smartlink alternative I have not heard about it.
