SD card readers on DVD recorders

I have the Panasonic DMREX45V.
I'm trying to view photos that I have on SD card.
Whilst it happily views all photos on the root of the card, it doesn't seem to like going into my folders.
The "go to folder" option, as described in the manual, doesn't even appear in the menu.
I've also tried to reformat the card using the Panasonic before transferring the photos back on using the same structures, but it's still unhappy with it.
Do any owners of similar Panasonic DVD recorders experience similar problems?

My photos are stored in \Photos\Lake District\
I've also tried renaming Lake District to Lake in case FAT16 doesn't support non-8.3 filenames.

I take it you are not in the UK?

There is no such model as the EX45 here.

Do you mean EZ45?

Yes. Sorry.
My fingers must've slipped.
Since your knowledge of models is pretty good, (well, good enough to spot my mistake), is the 45V the same as the 45VEBS?

Yes - It is the same.

Re the folder problem: See near the bottom of page 78 of the manual in the SD section about acceptable folder names.

That should sort the problem.

It certainly has. Thanks.
(Page 67 in my manual!)
I normally wouldn't read the manual if I had a hunch about things.
I would never have thought that there'd be restrictions on folder names.
Crazy, but there you go. Thanks for your time.
