Scart 2 Input / Decoder

Also dvd system has tuner built in do i need to use it as i tend to use sky all the time?

You left out one of the most important pieces of info...the TV...I presume it is an LCD or Plasma?
This is a common occurence and it is due to the length of time (slow) the TV takes to process the video information compared to the audio (faster).
The result is lip-sync issues where you hear the sound before you see peoples lips move.
Most modern amps have a control where you can adjust this delay by slightly slowing the audio processing so that it is in time with the video.

It also seems to be the other way round - the tv is quicker than the dvd player.

Just thought id add that.
