Hi,I usually only use DVD-RAM but have used DVD-RW and burn with Nero 7 Premium it works exactly the same.I have seen Nero 7 from between £10-£30 if you search Google/Pricerunner if an OEM product would be ok for you then try this:http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/prod...ucts_id=101200..
I am trying to create DVDs on my PC in DVD-RW VR mode.
Good luck with that. I can't get my PC to even read VR mode discs, let alone write them. It's why I always use Video mode on my Pioneer 530 so that I can move stuff backwards and forward between it and my PC. I believe there are drivers about that will allow at least reading of the format, but I came to the conclusion why bother? Video mode works just as well for anything I've ever wanted to do.
Yes, I was going to say I'm pretty sure the U-Lead stuff does. It's where I found (after much searching on their site) a VR driver. But when I got it and read the 'read me' about it may conflict with this, that and the other I never bothered with it. Especially as VR discs are inherently much less compatible with other players. Though that may be changing these days, but it was certainly true a year ago when I last looked into these things.
Pretty much the only thing I could get to read even a finalised VR disc was another DVD recorder, none of my players would look at them. It seemed to me that the purpose of the VR format was to allow fancier editing on the player. But if you intend to edit them on a PC, and not the player, then why bother at all?
