Which DVD HDD Recorder

I have a friend who's looking for a DVD hard disk drive recorder for about £270
. When I was last looking at these, I'd have suggested something like a Toshiba XS 34, But things seem to have changed since then (well no one seems to sell it anymore).
So what is the current hot model in that price range.. it looks like its between a

JVC DRMH200SEK a
Panasonic DMREH50
and possibly a

Sony RDRHX510S

the JVC has a 160Gig HD so is that the one to go for... whatever hapened to the toshiba?

Thanks
Steve

JVC has only RGB out - SCART 2 is composite only.
Spend another £60 and get the new MH300, with RGB in and out, HDMI and upscaling to 720p/1080i.
160 GB drive as well.
Same £280 or 300 buys a MH50 - 250 GB drive, but IIRC, still afflicted with RGB out only.
Sony - 710 and above have Freeview tuner only - no RF. Might be a winner or not depending on your friend's situation. If they have NTL/Telewest Digital or Sky - then no use whatsoever, or at least with the former 2. If their area is poorly serviced by Freeview - well, same thing.

Empire Direct, and that includes VAT.

It's not multiregion though, and I'm not sure if it can be hacked.

As one can see in the reviews of this machine they say no RGB. However some sites selling the maching say scart with RGB.
Phoned JVC uk today and they say definately RGB in/out via scart one. That goes for the JVC DRMH200 & DR-MH50EK. They are aware there are reviews saying no RGB and say it is not true. Who is telling lies or making the error?

What does thecomment about RF signify? I asked in another thread the question if it mattered that I had no aerial and just had a sky dish and am still awaiting a reply. I can't put an aerial up in the flats where I live and hope it wont affect my reception and recording of sky programmes when I (sigh...eventually) decide which recorder to buy.
