Silly question??/

Hi dont know if this sounds like a silly question but im interested in the DMR EH60D and the sony 710 but when recording from the built in freeview can you still watch freeview channels eg can either be used as a standalone freeview box?????

As there is only one Freeview tuner in the recorder you can watch the freeview channel that you are recording at the time, or any freeview channel if you are not recording....... if that makes sense !
