Pioneer DVR-530H or Philips DVDR7300H

Which of these two recorders would you recommend? The advantage of the Pioneer is that it's out already and gets good reviews. The Philips box is an unknown, but it's a bargain at £350 for a 250gb recorder.

Or do you recommend another one? I'd like a machine with guide+, which can control my satellite box while watching tv, not just recording. Buffering would be nice, as would easy editing (I'm only interested in deleting, or at least hiding adverts).

TIA

edit: FWIW, I'm not interested in a machine with a freeview tuner as I do not live in a freeview area.
