Panasonic DMR-HS2 to PC?

Hi. I have a Panasonic DMR-HS2 and would like to transfer some of the files from the built-in hard disk to my pc. I've noticed that the recorder and a firewire connection and so is it possible to transfer files on the hard drive over firewire? I know that the connection is only an input but I read somewhere a few months back that it's possible to do. Have any of you tried doing this?

You cannot use Firewire to transfer the files I'm afraid - it's an input only - you should use DVD-RAM (if you have a compatible drive) or DVD-R to transfer the files. Refer to the 'DVD-RAM to DVD-R' link in my signature for guidance!
