Pioneer 9200/Panasonic T6070

Can anyone comment on these 2 units? I am searching for a "black" dvd recorder/hard drive unit, and these are the only ones that I can locate. Anyone have any experience with them? I have the Panasonic E55 dvd recorder & do not like the "screen door" type of effect it gives when watching tv via the recorder unit. I have also read this comment about the new Panasonic ES10 model. What causes this effect, since my old vcr doesn't do this? Will the 9200 and/or the T6070 have the same "problem"?
